LETTER…

Dear Father, friend and brother Ramón Zubieta,

I hope this letter finds you in good spirits to receive warmly my greetings and hugs.

In this brief text, I want to express the admiration I feel for you. In the first place, for your dedication to the service of the Kingdom, which was concretized in the person of the indigenous people in the Peruvian jungle. I admire you, because you did not feel indifferent to the sufferings of the people, but in response you used your strength to defend these marginalized people.

Today I thank you for your example, for the witness of life and for the missionary work you have left behind. I, too feel challenged and invited to be part of this great work.

Thank you, because your suffering has been transformed into joy and salvation for many souls. Today we, as a Church, enjoy the fruits that have come from you and the Congregation is proud to have been born in the heart of a mission.

Without anything else to say, I thank God for having placed you in front of us, the Dominican Missionaries of the Rosary.

From your daughter,

 Conceição Himi
