I CHOSE…

Thank you so much, Lord, for calling me to this precious vocation, for being my everything on this great but once, crooked road. I chose to follow you because I know you care for me without expectation, my heart is all you want. I chose to stay with you because I know that true peace is only found in your presence. I chose you to love because I know you love me more than I love myself. You chose to forgive me, even though I fall often with the same sins. You chose to stay and wait even when I ran away from you because you know, I will never find any perfect place, neither in things, nor love that will satisfy my heart, because you have taken one of its pieces from me and you know I will come back to you and be still.

I once asked myself, “Why do I have to stand still in this uncertain life?”. But, as I look back on the love I have, the life I enjoyed, the preciousness of my being, I realize that your love makes my life safe and I choose to be still. For in that stillness, I know why and where I am, who I follow, where my heart belongs, where I found true peace. I find healing from the wounds of the past and forgiveness of myself. All, because of Your countless graces and blessings through others with whom I travel, for they are angels along the way.

My gratitude goes to our families, friends and companions of batch 2022-2024, the sisters of this Congregation of Missionary Dominican Sisters of the Rosary. My greetings of peace and thanks to my memorable home (Asian Continental Novitiate) that had sustained me for 2 years, a home of love to grow in God’s grace. Special thanks to our dear formators since aspirancy, postulancy and novitiate because their service has helped shape our lives and add colors to life. Truly, they have touched our lives and those of others as well and have made us companions on this journey.

I thank Sisters Fatima, Rosa and Pushpa for their selfless service to the youth, the tender care, the joyful acceptance, their love created memories in our lives by spending time listening, sharing and praying with us. Those words and actions enlightened us as in the formula of the profession: “surrender and service”. In fact, those greetings of Congratulations that we received, go to you too, because you have done a great job in bringing others closer to God, so that you can enjoy His graces in all the services you are doing.
