Without having met a person, it’s not easy to say something about her, but yes, we speak about people and about our Foundress, Mother and Teacher.
We can speak, think, learn, feel, experience, and… dream.
She always dreamed, and without haste or pause, she accomplished, took firm, decisive, exemplary steps. She marked her life and ours, those of us who
follow her, pray to her, think about her, study, would like to imitate her.
Her life is enough for us. Perhaps I’m being too daring? But as I also fulfilled my dream
of going and living in the Jungle, seeing it after the years we lived there, I have
been thinking, if the jungle was the “place” where God is found in
everything, perhaps that’s what I think, it was the Novitiate. She lived it, she experienced it, but that place… must have been the “Novitiate” for all of us, yes, for all of us.
That was the great experience of life and learning. Being so close
to families, their poverty, joys, needs, illness, distance, loneliness, eloquent silences, risks of all kinds, acceptance of people, conditions of sacrifice, customs, discomfort, integration into the environment… all that score she lived with such fundamental background music.
May this kind of life become the experience of sisters, missionary sisters, that mission, of being and loving, learning, giving
and receiving… so much, so much from everyone, so much from God!
Thank you, Mother, close, thank you, Teacher.
Your life shaped ours.
