I can only thank the Lord for having known her, not only as educator, trainer and religious, but also as an actress…
Isabel is a Spanish sister who was sent on a mission here in Cameroon about six years ago. I knew the sister personally when she was an aspirant, and each and every time she came to the sessions, she gave me a lot of advice. In the first session with the MDR Sisters, this year I took the mock exam and since I had passed Sor Isabel who gave me gifts to cheer me up.
She is a very generous, maternal, and playful woman who has her “heart in her manga”, who knows when things are not going well. In my little experience with her, she taught me to simplify things in life, to see the good side of things. For example, when she tells you: she is going to empty the trash, she is going to clean the windows, going to buy gas, pay the bill, sweep the chapel…And when she sees that you are already a little tired or irritable, she comes dancing or singing in front of you making us forget what has happened.
She is a woman who said YES like Mary and followed Christ.
A woman with a missionary stomach who does not hesitate to try everything, except in cases of health.
A strong woman who I rarely saw lying down and she is very dynamic.
With her I learned to occupy my time, because she is a sister who never stays still, she is always working.
Thank you, Lord, for Sister Isabel, for the gift of her life, for her presence among us.
May the Lord give you the strength to continue in this moment of humility, and also for all the sisters of the community.
Thank my Lord.
