Dear Father and Companion:

I am so happy to receive your letter that my spirit is inspired to answer you. I read it silently with great encouragement. My spirit was filled with peace and my eyes were filled with joy. Your message touched me deeply and encouraged me more to walk in the way of Jesus.

I always feel that you are walking with me.

The world today lacks peace and in many, there is no hope. There is so much war, hopelessness, and thirst for life. Sometimes I do not understand why. At certain times my faith wavers and at other times I feel disturbed. My feet tremble in the face of so much death and prevent me from moving forward.

However, your letter has become a light on my path. I feel your presence as I read it. My heart beats with love and warms like the spring sun: my spirit renews hope. 

Father, I write to you full of joy and enthusiasm. There are many things I want to share with you, but I don’t want to take too much of your time. Please pray for me to be a good missionary.

Thank you for your loving and encouraging words. I will try to follow Christ, under the inspiration of your missionary steps.
