Reflection before the WYD journey

From the youth pastoral community of Ascension Nicol School, in Santiago de Chile, we want to share what we feel and what has helped us a lot in a personal and community way.  By participating we feel that more than companions we are a family that supports each other, that in a voluntary way, we can talk about personal things and we will not be judged, we can express ourselves, recount our daily events and experiences.

I am grateful for the opportunities and doors that have opened for me this semester, especially the trip of the Missionary Dominican Sisters of the Rosary Youth Movement, which helps you to have a personal growth, Being part of a world meeting of young people who are united by faith, is a very pleasant event from which we can transmit to our school, share the things we learn, meet with other young people and share how they live the faith and how they show it to the world, for us to nourish ourselves from that and represent to our school how we live the faith.

We have had the opportunity to meet young people from other educational communities of the schools of the Congregation, when we met we were able to share our opinions, as it was in the meeting of schools organized by Colegio de Jesus del Peru. I feel that on the day in which we will participate, we can share with more young people from different countries, expanding our pastoral bond. We believe that we will have cherished moments that will accompany us for the rest of our lives and therefore appreciate the ministry is not only a community, it is love and faith.
