“What is impossible with human is possible with God” Lk 18:27

What seemed like an unrealizable dream gradually took shape. Leaving the continent, going to another new world, with other languages, another face of the congregation, meant from the beginning, a deep and immense joy and illusion, at the same time it was a challenge to throw ourselves into the new in the midst of the fear that this entailed.

In this process, many feelings have accompanied us since the preparation of the journey; leaving studies, work, mission, community, etc. One of them has been the uncertainty in the visa process which, thanks to the support of the sisters of the congregation and other people, was achieved. God opened the way for us.

Crossing the frontiers of language, distances and uncertainty about the migration passes, and at times with good humour and at others with insecurity, we arrived in India with great joy. When we arrived at the community we felt very welcomed by each one of the sisters, their songs, their welcoming details.

With great enthusiasm and excitement, little by little we are entering into this new dynamic of knowledge among all the sisters in the diversity and intercultural richness that we are as a congregation.  We are also getting to know the reality of the country.

We feel that everything we are experiencing is a richness for our personal life, our spirituality, our missionary life and our vocation to follow Jesus as Dominican Missionary Sisters of the Rosary. One of the biggest challenges we have at the moment is the English language in which we feel limited in interpersonal and community communication. However, in this journey we are feeling very supported and motivated by all the sisters of the community in learning the language.

We trust in God our Father and Mother that we will continue this experience with openness, availability and joy to welcome and live in depth this course of preparation for our vows.

May Mother Ascension and Monsignor Zubieta continue to inspire and enlighten the journey of each of the sisters in our congregation.

Very united in sisterhood.
