The encounter with the sisters and brothers of different cultures produces dignity when we approach them with respect, love, closeness, admiration and desire to learn from their great ancestral knowledge.
During Holy Week, I have had the joy of living, sharing life and faith with two different cultures that share the same territory in the jungle: the Tsimanes and the Yucarés. They have learned to live together and to make their decisions together, forming a single community called Areruta, very organized and participative.
They have felt our presence, that of a couple of animators and myself, as a gift. For us it has been a permanent enrichment and a reason to thank the Lord for all that we have experienced, contemplated, shared and celebrated.
