At a time when doubt and uncertainty seem to be the usual commodity in our society, we seek refuge in the One who has created not time, but eternity…
KEEP GOING…
We put a mark in history as we age and witness the passing of time, the celebration of silver and golden anniversaries and even diamond celebrations–of weddings or religious professions. I think it is important to be part of the period of rejoicing because this makes us one of the sharers in the joy God gives to all of us.
The mark of time matters, but I believe it is faith in God that matters most. No matter how frail or strong we may be, it is our reliance in the One stronger than ourselves that would define our life journey and our destination.
In every journey, it is not really the time element that we have to absolutely keep, but the process we undergo as we move forward. There may be uncertainties all along like the experience of the disciples as they left home, families, posts, fields and more. The essential armor is the desire to keep going along the path of life, to entrust all as we affirm “I surrender all”. We neither linger in the past nor rush with anxiety towards the future; we keep our awareness of the present moment which calls us to remain steadfast even when we have to walk through rain and storms.
