JUBILEE, SHOUT OF JOY…

The Jubilee in the tradition of the Church is a great religious event. It is the year of the remission of sins; It is the year of reconciliation between adversaries, of conversion and of sacramental penance and, consequently, of solidarity, hope, justice, commitment to the service of the Lord in joy and peace with the brothers. The Jubilee Year is above all the year of Christ, bearer of life and grace for humanity.

“You shall treat this fiftieth year as sacred. You shall proclaim liberty in the land for all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee for you, when each of you shall return to your own property, each of you to your own family.”(Lev 25:10)

Hence, the Jubilee becomes a privileged period decided by the Church on the model of what has been lived since the Old Testament. It is an invitation to live what is essential better and to turn more towards God. It is a time of joy, rest, and freedom with the Lord. It opens us to the experience of a rhythm of life better in tune with that of the Lord. The entire Church receives this time as an offered grace and a blessing.

Indeed, from 11/19/2020 to 11/19/2021, in our house of the Dominican Missionaries of the Rosary we are celebrating the centenary around the world around a brave missionary of his time, RAMÓN ZUBIETA and LES, our father founder. This jubilee is a strong moment for us, because it has allowed us to immerse ourselves more deeply in the life of the founder through the different themes for reflection that have been made available to us. We thank our sisters for choosing these topics and our translators.

May this Jubilee, which is coming to an end, be for us a time of mercy that allows us to better live the meaning of the Jubilee in a concrete way in our daily lives. Bishop R. Zubieta intercedes for us.

Good reading dear sisters.
